Mud Office covers all aspects of design process. We tailor each project to suit the client’s brief, the site and architecture. Typical elements included in our gardens include pools, paving, decking, outdoor kitchens, exterior structures and planting. This process is designed to provide all the information required to create a beautiful garden.

Preliminary Consultation 
The design of your bespoke garden begins with an initial meeting on site which allows us to understand the existing and unique site conditions.  We invite clients to share their vision and hopes for the project and to give us their brief.  At this meeting we will assist with actionable advice and information.  Following this preliminary consultation, we prepare a Landscape Fee Proposal. The Landscape Fee Proposal includes the project brief and scope.  A fee is charged for this preliminary consultation.

Concept Design 
The concept package illustrates the proposed layout, materials and planting palette. The package includes plans and views to clearly express the design outcome. It is a fluid, working document that is developed in close consultation with the clients. Once the design is signed off we proceed with Documentation.

Documentation
The Documentation package includes the information and data required to price and install a project. This package generally includes a landscape plan, planting plan, planting schedule, lighting plan, details and specifications. This document is used to tender the project.

Town Planning
We can prepare plans and documentation for any permits required.

Tendering
Mud Office can recommend experienced landscape contractors to tender on projects if required.  We can review tenders and assist with engaging landscape contractors. Mud Office can also assist in the selection and acquisition of outdoor elements including cookware, furniture and art.

Procurement
Mud Office can source planting and outdoor furniture if required.

Advice and Comment
Mud Office is available for advice and comment during the construction of the garden.  This ensures the project has the best outcome and client satisfaction.

Design Fees
Our fees are consistent with the scale of fees and charges as set out by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.  Project fees generally start from $12,000 plus gst depending on the scope and extent of works.

Construction Budget
Many variables come into play, however, we would suggest allowing for a budget of $80,000 plus gst to bring your project to life.
